PART 3

Different Types of ADD have been described. Dr. Daniel Amen has identified six different types of ADD with similar and overlapping conditions.

Type one is Classic ADD with primary Concentration Distraction, plus hyperactivity, restlessness and impulsivity. Adults and children with ADD, talk nonstop only on topics that are interesting to them. Completely disregarding what other people think, whether they are interested in hearing about this topic or would want to comment.

In anger or rage, people may not be aware of how their words or behavior impacts or hurts others or they may be aware and yet say or do what is on their mind with not much control over it. They say or do something and regret it later.

According to Zarathustra: "GOFTAREH NEEK" Zarathustra emphasized on "Saying Good". For people with Type one ADD, following Zarathustra's recommendation is tough.

This characteristic is shared or overlaps with Autism and Bipolar disorder.

Autistic children will usually say what comes to their minds right away. An example that is commonly used is when an overweight woman gets into an elevator and the autistic child tells his mom, This fat lady is taking too much of the space in the elevator, or similar stories. They have always said: Ask the children, they will say the truth. Now ask autistic children and they would tell you the whole truth. Whatever is on their mind. No filter.

In some Bipolars as Tom Wooton has written in his book the BIPOLAR ADVANTAGE,

" we tear people apart verbally when we go into a rage".

People who go through these " rage periods " are the loved ones, wives, husbands, children, friends and co-workers.
