PART 2

What is the formula for Hope???

Serotonin, Dopamine and Adrenalin are the neurotransmitters which make us happy, excited, positive, hopeful, attentive, interested, futuristic, enthusiastic and content.

Oxytocin is a  new and exciting link.

Researchers have found changes to the DNA sequence between Autism and Oxytocin.

Oxytocin is another neurotransmitter secreted into the blood stream from the brain. It was known as the cuddle hormone or the love hormone. Oxytocin is released from the brain after orgasm. Oxytocin is best known for inducing contractions during labor. It plays a key role in other human urges, including the desire to connect and fall in love. Oxytocin increases Trust and feelings of generosity. It reduces shyness and social anxiety. In studies with autistic children, giving Oxytocin has shown to improve their social interactions skills.

Autistic people may have a higher rate of methylation on the Oxytocin receptor, therefore can not respond to the regular concentrations of Oxytocin. This change may be genetic.

Impaired social interaction and impaired communication skills are a major part of all PDD or Pervasive Developmental Disorders. The finding with Oxytocin may provide information on social isolation for many of these disorders.

Shiatsu or  Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is one of many therapies collectively known as Energy psychology, a form of alternative psychotherapy, that is based on a theory that negative emotions are caused by disturbances in the body's energy system and that tapping on acupuncture points while focusing on a specific traumatic memory balances the system, thereby neutralizing the negative emotion. After a Shiatsu massage many people have experienced anger and sadness and have cried for hours and days after the message. I became interested in following the theory and finding the relationship between the pressure points and release of neurotransmitters. Interestingly,  there are two pressure points between the shoulders, that if applied pressure to during pregnancy will induce labor. More research is required to measure the amount of neurotransmitters and in this case Oxytocin released by these techniques.

A balanced blood sugar is required to maintain a leveled mood. Low blood glucose is correlated with lack of energy and lack of concentration. Continuous High blood glucose is known for grumpy-ness. People with Diabetes are twice as likely to have depression and mood swings, than those with normal blood glucose. A test of Hemoglobin A1C once every 4 months is recommended to confirm normal blood sugar.

Disruption of the balance in the intestinal tract typical by low numbers of Good bacteria is not only known to create digestive problems, it has also been associated with a number of symptoms especially with ADD, Autism, depression and anxiety. We recommend Re-Vitalize X2 to correct absorption. Capsules are easy to swallow or to open and pour over food.
